About

Proving it since 2008

We specialize in maintaining the beauty of your doors — whether that means a light re-freshening every year or two, or a complete refinish back to bare wood.

How we work

If the finish just needs a bit of re-freshening every year or two, or your doors need a complete refinishing, we will answer your questions, give referrals from satisfied owners, and show you pictures of successful completions.

We use care to protect adjacent areas, safely remove the old finishes with dustless sanding and soda blasting on delicate areas, and apply generous coats of top-rated and environmentally friendly varnishes formulated for years of service.

We do not advertise as being the best, we’ve been proving it since 2008.

We have finished many residential homes, office buildings, churches, yacht clubs and nursing homes, and we work with commercial property managers, hotels, hospitals and restaurants — anything with a front or back door, including commercial touch-ups for that professional look.

Refinished mahogany double entry doors

What’s in the work

Dustless sanding

Old finish comes off cleanly without filling your entry, foyer and furniture with airborne dust.

Soda blasting

For carved panels, mouldings and other delicate detail where sanding would soften the crispness of the work.

Marine-grade varnish

Generous coats of top-rated, environmentally friendly finishes formulated to stand up to Florida sun, humidity and salt air.

Adjacent-area protection

Stone, stucco, glass, hardware and flooring around the opening are masked and protected before anything starts.

On-site, 95% of the time

Doors stay in their frames unless the damage is severe enough to need shop work — so your entry is never standing open.

Common questions

How long does it take to refinish my doors?

On average sized doors, normally it’s 2–3 days, depending on the size, damage, and of course weather.

Do I need to be home when the doors are worked on?

Once the seals are removed and the doors are taped off they can be locked until the job is finished and the seals need to be re-installed.

If I want to replace the hardware, when is that done — before or after?

It’s best to replace before so any modifications can be made. However, if everything will be the same, then it makes no difference before or after.

Do you refinish fiberglass or Therma-Tru doors?

Yes we do! If your finish comes off and it’s white underneath, it is likely fiberglass. We can restore them to factory-like new, depending on the severity of the door’s condition.

Do you remove the doors, or are they done on-site?

We do 95% of the work on-site unless the doors are too severely damaged and need special care that can’t be done in place.

Still have a question?

Call Anthony and ask. If it’s easier, send a photo of the door and we’ll tell you what it needs.
